Poland “keen” on working with Canada for first nuclear plant
The Canada-Poland Nuclear Energy Cooperation Agreement was signed this week by the prime ministers of the two countries, supporting plans for developing Poland’s first nuclear power plants to aid its transition away from coal.

An update on the political landscape of nuclear as we near the 2020 fall election season. Topics covered ranged from interacting with the green community on nuclear, low-dose radiation, and a breakdown of current federal nuclear legislation.
The current nuclear fleet, advanced reactors, and the non-energy applications of nuclear were also touched upon.
Moderator Harsh Desai currently is the senior manager at Nuclear Energy Institute. He serves as chair of the ANS Young Members Group and the Congressional Fellowship Committee, and vice chair of the Finance Committee.
