Ed Petit de Mange discussed Oklo’s groundbreaking approach to advancing nuclear energy and explored how their reactor designs, fuel cycles, and strategic business model are creating an opportunity for a rapid expansion of nuclear power. Ed also discussed pyroprocessing—an electrochemical separation technology born from the Integral Fast Reactor (IFR) program—and highlighted how it couples with the fast reactor fuel cycle. Discover why the time is ripe for implementing used fuel recycling in the U.S., how Oklo’s approaches sidestep past challenges, and how deliberate design and business strategies can help redefine clean energy for the future.
Ed is the Sr. Director, Fuel Recycling at Oklo, leading the organization's program to design, site, license, and deploy a domestic used nuclear fuel recycling facility.
