Disney World should have gone nuclear
There is extra significance to the American Nuclear Society holding its annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, this past week. That’s because in 1967, the state of Florida passed a law allowing Disney World to build a nuclear power plant.

Goorevich, Director of the Office of International Regimes and Agreements in the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA), and Katie Strangis, NNSA Senior Policy Advisor, participated in a webinar exclusively for ANS members to answer questions about the 10 CFR 810 rule: Assistance to Foreign Atomic Energy Activities. The webinar was be moderated by Art Wharton, member of the ANS Public Policy Committee, and Craig Piercy, ANS Washington Representative. Participants were given an opportunity to ask questions during the one-hour program.
