60 Years of U: Perspectives on resources, demand, and the evolving role of nuclear energy
Recent years have seen growing global interest in nuclear energy and rising confidence in the sector. For the first time since the early 2000s, there is renewed optimism about the industry’s future. Considerable research and development work on the behavior of steam generator tubing materials has been performed during the last ten years. These studies relate mainly to such austenitic alloys as 18-10 stainless steels, Alloys 800, 600, or 690, sometimes with different heat treatments or surface finish.
