A technique for applying neutron radiography to the examination of radioactive material is described. This method uses a pool reactor core as a neutron source and the water as a biological shield. Radioactive specimens examined include clad fuel rods up to 1.2-m in length and stainless steel capsules up to 2.9-cm diam and 60-cm long. Representative radiographs of both types are presented.
