The report presents the results of electromagnetic system (EMS) design for the neutron plasma generator based on the gas-dynamic trap. The magnetic field configuration of cusp type is used as a MHD-stabilizer on one of the «behind-the-mirror» zones. Proof is given for the necessity and advantages of the vertical arrangement of the EMS solenoids. Proposals are presented for further EMS design.
NOTE: The studies were made according to the project 492-96 “Plasma neutron Generator based on the Gas Dynamic Trap”. The customer of this project is International Science and Technology Center (ISTC).
