The International Conference on Mathematics and Computational Methods Applied to Nuclear Science and Engineering (M&C 2025) will be taking place April 27–30 in Denver, Colo.

Registration for the meeting is now open. The host hotel— The Westin Denver Downtown—is also taking room reservations.

The details: M&C 2025, with the theme of “Elevating Peak Performance,” is part of a series of topical meetings organized by the American Nuclear Society’s Mathematics and Computation Division. M&C conferences, held every two years, bring together an international audience with expertise related to nuclear science or technology, including mathematical and computational methods, numerical analysis, computer codes, computer architectures, and benchmarks for computationally solving problems in all disciplines encompassed by ANS.

Technical session topics will include Monte Carlo methods, deterministic transport, nuclear data, artificial intelligence/machine learning applications, reactor physics, multiphysics simulations, high-performance computing, and more.

There also will be workshops on OpenMC, scientific machine learning applications, MontePy, and Griffin.

Reactor tour: On the morning of May 1, after the conclusion of the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to take buses to the nearby Denver Federal Center to tour the U.S. Geological Survey TRIGA Reactor. The GSTR is a low-enriched uranium–fueled pool-type reactor. Its mission is to support USGS science by providing information on geologic, plant, and animal specimens to advance methods and techniques unique to nuclear reactors.

Learn more: All the details on the conference’s agenda and speakers, as well as information on becoming a sponsor or exhibitor, can be found on the M&C 2025 page on the ANS website.
