The Nuclear Energy Institute has launched a new website that focuses on nuclear industry career awareness. NuclearWorks is designed “to allow students and potential job seekers the ability to identify career and/or education opportunities in the industry that align with their interests and skills/background,” according to Lori Brady, senior director of NEI’s Human Resources and Workforce Development.

Brady noted that NuclearWorks is not a job board, but did explain that the NEI is hoping to link to other industry job boards through a map function.

Who are you? Who are we? The new site is organized for easy navigation. Clicking on any selection under the “Who Are You?” heading produces relevant follow-up questions to gather information and tailor the information provided, such as a career brochures, videos and quotes from students and people working in the nuclear industry, and useful contact information.

“Who Are We?” provides links to sections where readers can learn more about nuclear energy, careers, and academic programs.

An evolving project: The website will continue to expand over time as more content is made available, Brady said.
