Reactor Physics
The division's objectives are to promote the advancement of knowledge and understanding of the fundamental physical phenomena characterizing nuclear reactors and other nuclear systems. The division encourages research and disseminates information through meetings and publications. Areas of technical interest include nuclear data, particle interactions and transport, reactor and nuclear systems analysis, methods, design, validation and operating experience and standards. The Wigner Award heads the awards program.

DOE opens funding opportunity for HALEU transport packages
The Department of Energy announced November 19 that up to $16 million is available through a new High-Assay Low-Enrichment Transportation Package funding opportunity to research, develop, and acquire Nuclear Regulatory Commission licensing for transportation of HALEU—using new or modified packages.

Even on the same site, major projects can compete with routine maintenance and RP activities for the same skill set. Combined with often projects choose the best athlete for the different aspects of a project. What are utilities and suppliers doing to collaborate and work together to minimize the cost and risk when competing for the same resources and accomplish the work? Agreements sharing risk?
