This panel will discuss what organizations should consider when planning work digitalization efforts. Digitalization is the use of digital technologies to change a business model and provide new revenue and value-producing opportunities. Digitalization is the use of information to optimize work processes, and it is the process of moving to a digital business. Work Digitalization is the integration of people, processes, and digital technologies to further improve effectiveness, cost-competitiveness, and safety. In this panel session, we highlight progress on a program of research focused on providing the industry with the what, why, and how of work digitalization.
