TerraPower begins U.K. regulatory approval process
Seattle-based TerraPower signaled its interest this week in building its Natrium small modular reactor in the United Kingdom, the company announced.
TerraPower sent a letter to the U.K.’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, formally establishing its intention to enter the U.K. generic design assessment (GDA) process. This is TerraPower’s first step in deployment of its Natrium technology—a 345-MW sodium fast reactor coupled with a molten salt energy storage unit—on the international stage.

Dr. Brian C. Odom is the NASA Chief Historian. Odom serves as the principal advisor to NASA leadership on historical matters and is responsible for capturing and preserving the agency's history and managing the office responsible for developing and implementing NASA public history efforts. Odom is responsible for preparing and overseeing the development of historical publications including books, monographs, special studies, and articles on U.S. aerospace history, managing the NASA Historical Archives, which accessions, processes, preserves, and makes accessible NASA historical documentation as well as oral histories and artifacts related to the agency’s history. He also interfaces with internal and external stakeholders on all issues related to NASA History.
