The mission of the Decommissioning and Environmental Sciences (DES) Division is to promote the development and use of those skills and technologies associated with the use of nuclear energy and the optimal management and stewardship of the environment, sustainable development, decommissioning, remediation, reutilization, and long-term surveillance and maintenance of nuclear-related installations, and sites. The target audience for this effort is the membership of the Division, the Society, and the public at large.

Join us for an exclusive half-day workshop on Advanced Reactor International Safeguards, tailored for U.S. advanced nuclear developers. Hosted by DOE/NNSA’s Advanced Reactor International Safeguards Engagement (ARISE) program, this interactive half day session incorporates hands-on exercises, expert panel discussions, and case studies. This workshop will convene professionals from across the policy and technology communities to explore current R&D related to the advanced reactor safeguards. The workshop is geared towards U.S. based professionals working with advanced reactors in any capacity.
