Education, Training & Workforce Development
The Education, Training & Workforce Development Division provides communication among the academic, industrial, and governmental communities through the exchange of views and information on matters related to education, training and workforce development in nuclear and radiological science, engineering, and technology. Industry leaders, education and training professionals, and interested students work together through Society-sponsored meetings and publications, to enrich their professional development, to educate the general public, and to advance nuclear and radiological science and engineering.

Supreme Court urged to uphold ruling against Texas SNF storage site
A flurry of amicus briefs from states, politicians, and special interest groups were filed with the U.S. Supreme Court this week, urging the court to uphold a 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that invalidated the Interim Storage Partner’s license for a consolidated interim storage facility for commercial spent nuclear fuel in Andrews County, Texas.
The American Nuclear Society is the product of its membership and communities, one of which cannot exist without the other. Communities allow ANS members to amplify their research, networks, ideas, relationships, themselves, and many other important facets of an ANS member’s life.
