  Operations & Power
  Members focus on the dissemination of knowledge and information in the area of power reactors with particular application to the production of electric power and process heat. The division sponsors meetings on the coverage of applied nuclear science and engineering as related to power plants, non-power reactors, and other nuclear facilities. It encourages and assists with the dissemination of knowledge pertinent to the safe and efficient operation of nuclear facilities through professional staff development, information exchange, and supporting the generation of viable solutions to current issues.

Professional Engineering Examination Committee

The Professional Engineering Examination Committee (PEEC) creates, facilitates, and champions the path for professional licensure in the nuclear discipline.

PEEC's Nuclear PE Licensing Information

Member Responsibilities:

Develops the national professional engineering examination in nuclear engineering, which is administered and scored by the NCEES.
Prepares educational products for individuals planning to sit for the nuclear professional engineering examination.
Publishes ANS educational products and program material relating to licensure and the nuclear professional engineering examination.
Promotes nuclear engineering licensure at various events, such as the ANS Student Conference, the Young Professionals Congress (YPC) and other Society activities.

Helpful Traits for Members:

Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing (i.e. active license) under the jurisdiction of an NCEES Member Board.
Desire to promote licensure for nuclear engineers.
Experience and/or strong interest in developing educational products and programs.
